Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Olympus are the best of the lot.
Well, if you want a good camera, I reccomend Costco. They have great quality cameras for low prices((and lots of sales w// coupons!!!)). I got my first camera there and. I have taken some of my best pix w/ it.
I bought my Sony on sale at Target. Go online and do some research. You might also try Sam’s Club which is Walmart’s wholesale club.
They are all about the same. Try buy.com or pricegrabber.com or shopping.com for a price comparison of different stores. You may find something cheaper on line with out tax & free shipping
None of them because everyone who works at these places has absolutely no concept about camera or even how to operate cameras to begin with. Also they have no idea on what type of accessories to suggest to use with the cameras. So your best bet is to drop into a local camera store especially being able to talk to someone that has some concept about cameras.
